OverviewAs a Copywriter for Gallagher’s Art Department (our in-house creative agency), you’ll be at the forefront of helping represent our brand. We’re looking for someone who is an outstanding writer, as well as proficient at developing tone of voice, creative strategy, and collaborating. As a successful candidate, you’ll have mastered the art of writing in multiple styles for various channels. Your ideas are creative, strategic and always on brand. Under the direction of the Global Creative Director, and in collaboration with Art Directors, Account and Project Managers and our internal clients, the Copywriter will help develop conceptual ideas and voice and tone, bringing it to life with language that speaks to your target audience. Our copywriters are expected to regularly relay their creative rationale for their creative work and present their work as part of the creative team.
How you'll make an impact- Collaborate creatively with core creative team including Art Directors and Account team in developing creative strategy, creative concepts, and ideas behind the work.
- Develop promotional, short form copy for various channels based on a creative brief and source content including headlines, promotional copy, scripts, email, web and social media copy.
- Develop voice and tone for materials specific to target audience and aligned to Gallagher brand.
- Understand user experience and concepts of usability, always putting the user/customer at the center of their thinking.
- Managing multiple projects and maintaining workflow amid often tight, changing deadlines.
- May provide guidance to other team members but has no formal supervisory responsib ility.
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum 5 years marketing copywriting experience.
- Experience writing for the insurance / financial or benefits consulting industries to a B2B (business to business) audience.
- Proficiency in presenting and talking through creative work.
Desired:
- Knowledge of digital content and SEO strategy with ability to edit content for the web is a plus.
- Knowledge of graphic arts is a plus.

We offer a competitive and comprehensive compensation package. The base salary range represents the anticipated low end and high end of the range for this position. The actual compensation will be influenced by a wide range of factors including, but not limited to previous experience, education, pay market/geography, complexity or scope, specialized skill set, lines of business/practice area, supply/demand, and scheduled hours.
