Fireplace & Chimney Authority, the Midwest's largest fireplace and chimney company, is seeking a skilled and experienced Chimney Brick Mason to join our growing team. As a Stone Mason, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the construction, repair, tuckpointing, and rebuilding of chimney structures.

Responsibilities:

• Measure and mark surfaces to be covered with stone
• Mix mortar and apply it to surfaces using hand or power tools
• Cut stones to size using a variety of tools
• Lay stones in patterns or designs according to plans or specifications
• Align structures using plumb lines, levels, and other tools
• Tuckpoint and rebuild chimney structures
• Clean and polish surfaces using a variety of techniques and tools
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

In addition to the above responsibilities, the Stone Mason may also be responsible for:

• Keeping accurate records of work performed
• Communicating with customers in a professional and courteous manner
• Providing estimates for repair and maintenance work
• Assisting with the marketing and promotion of our services
• Maintaining inventory of tools and equipment

Requirements:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Stone Mason
• Strong knowledge stone laying techniques and tools
• Experience with tuckpointing and rebuilding chimney structures
• Good communication and customer service skills
• The ability to work at heights and lift heavy objects
• A valid driver's license and reliable transportation

• Competitive hourly pay of $25-30 per hour based on experience
