A Day in the Life

You arrive and review the rotating maintenance plan for the night. A quick walk-by check reveals a faint bearing whine on a conveyor; you isolate the issue, verify with a visual inspection and lubrication check, and schedule a part replacement. Later, a sensor drifts out of range—you calibrate the gauge, confirm readings, and get the line back to spec. Before shift end, you install new machine guards and verify platform fasteners are torqued to standard. Throughout, you collaborate with line operators, listen for unusual sounds, document findings, and keep safety at the forefront.

What You’ll Handle

• Execute preventive maintenance: visual inspections, fluid checks, lubrication, cleaning, tightening/adjusting components, part replacement, and calibration of sensors and gauges.
• Inspect and test production equipment; listen for abnormal sounds and consult with line staff to diagnose issues.
• Dismantle, inspect, and replace defective parts; install new or repaired components.
• Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain piping systems; service hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, including gauges, valves, and pressure regulators.
• Install and repair electrical apparatus, including transformers and wiring.
• Maintain facility structures and perform general repairs as needed.
• Install machinery, platforms, and guarding per specifications.
• Work under guidance of senior colleagues; support and occasionally coach junior teammates.
• Follow operational procedures and company safety practices at all times.

Schedule

6:00 pm – 6:00 am, rotating schedule.

What You Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent; 2–4 years of relevant maintenance experience.
• Strong preventive maintenance and inspection know-how.
• Ability to inspect, test, dismantle, and repair mechanical and electrical components.
• Working knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems and related equipment.
• Comfort reading diagrams, layouts, and technical instructions.
• Skilled at identifying malfunctions, communicating findings, and recommending corrective actions.
• Experience installing and maintaining machinery, equipment, and facility structures.
• Works well under general guidance; models cleanliness, safety, and compliance.
