Commercial Litigation Paralegal
A Full-service law firm in Chicago is looking for a Paralegal to join its commercial litigation practice. The firm is looking for someone early in their career who wants to grow within a strong litigation practice and take on increasing responsibility over time.Â
Job DescriptionÂ
The Paralegal will work closely with Attorneys and other team members on matters relating to Litigation practice areas for an 18-attorney law firm.Â
Job FunctionsÂ
Preparation of legal documents, including summonses, subpoenas, as well as notices of filing, motion, and depositionÂ
Electronic state, federal, and FINRA filingsÂ
Utilize Odyssey e-file, PACER, and FINRA DR PortalÂ
Preparation of initial drafts of discovery requests and responsesÂ
Preparation of exhibits for and assistance at depositions, arbitrations, trials, and court proceedingsÂ
Document review and productionÂ
Summarizing/abstracting depositionsÂ
Organization and management of all case documents, pleadings, and discovery, including e-discovery on platforms such as DISCO and RelativityÂ
Research witnesses, jurors, and arbitrators; preparation of binders for arbitrator rankingsÂ

Proactive in helping attorneys and other team members to advance casesÂ
