Accountant-Bookkeeper
ACCOUNTS PAYABLE ACTIVITIES INCLUDE
- • Coordinate and verify receiving tickets, purchase orders and invoices for proper coding and approval signature (three-way matching).
- • Enter invoices for payment.
- • Prepare and complete all month end responsibilities as well as printing month end reports and setting up late bills (accruals).
- • Ensure that all accounts are current
- • Maintain record of payments and ensure vendors files are in proper order.
- • Reconcile vendor statements.
PAYROLL ACTIVITIES INCLUDE
- • Processing weekly payroll for all entities, including union and non-union payroll.
- • Gather, receive, and enter data of payroll information and process drivers and helpers pay.
- • Coordinate and complete data entry to update employee information as it relates to payroll.
- • Address employee payroll questions and complaints by providing appropriate and accurate.
- • Knowledge, understanding, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
- • Maintain knowledge of functional area and company policies and procedures.
- • Processing requests for vacation, sick time and PTO requests.
- • Prepares payroll reports, conducts annual record retention procedures, assist in processing quarterly, year-end reports.
- • Preparing union benefit reports and for invoice processing.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQIUREMENTS
- • Previous Payroll/Clerical experience required.
- • Previous construction experience preferred.
- • Proficient personal computer skills, including Microsoft Office, QuickBooks Contractor, and ADP.
- • Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
- • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- • Ability to work in a team fostered environment. Ability to work in a multi-tasked environment. Ability to prioritize and organize work.
- • Ability to adapt to a flexible schedule.
- • Excellent customer service skills and organizational skills.
