The role

Are you a skilled CNC Machinist with a passion for precision, problem-solving, and hands-on work? Join our growing Advanced Manufacturing team at IPL Schoeller and play a key role in crafting high-quality tools and components that drive our production success.

What You’ll Do

As a CNC Machinist, you’ll be responsible for setting up, and operating CNC and manual machines, performing light fabrication, and ensuring tooling is maintained to the highest standards. Your day-to-day will include:

Machine Operation

• Set up and operate CNC Lathes and Mills
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance

• Edit Programs when needed to maintain sizes and finishes

Quality & Inspection

• Conduct visual and dimensional inspections using precision measuring tools. (Micrometers, Dial Indicators, CMM)
• Tolerance requirements +/-.0002

Maintenance & Troubleshooting

• Perform preventative maintenance on machines.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Troubleshoot and repair broken parts and equipment.

What You Bring

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in CNC milling and Lathe machines
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills .

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent time management and attention to detail.
• Prior toolmaking or mold making experience is a plus.
• CNC Programming (Mastercam) is a plus
• 5-Axis machine operation is a plus
• Completion of a toolmaker apprenticeship is plus.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs regularly.
• Comfortable with prolonged standing and walking on concrete floors.

Schedule:  M-TH; 2pm-12:30 am
Employment Type: Hourly, Non-exempt
