Roka Akor Oak Brook is seeking an experienced Grill Cook to join our culinary team.

Roka Akor is a modern Japanese restaurant specializing in Robatayaki-style cooking, premium steaks and seafood, sushi, and contemporary Japanese cuisine . Our signature robata grill is at the center of our kitchen, and we are looking for a cook who is comfortable working with high-quality ingredients in a fast-paced, high-standard environment.

What We're Looking For

• Previous grill, broiler, or high-volume line cook experience

• Strong understanding of meat and seafood temperatures

• Ability to execute consistently during busy services

• Excellent knife skills and attention to detail

• Strong sense of urgency while maintaining quality and presentation

• Ability to maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked station

• Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper product handling

• Dependability, professionalism, and a team-first attitude

• Fine-dining or upscale restaurant experience preferred

What You'll Do

As a Grill Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and executing dishes from one of the most important stations in the Roka Akor kitchen. You'll work closely with our chefs and culinary team to ensure every dish meets our standards for temperature, seasoning, presentation, and consistency.

This is an excellent opportunity for a serious cook who wants to strengthen their skills, work with premium products, and grow within an established restaurant group .
