Position Overview

The FOH Expo is the heartbeat of our front-of-house operations. You are the final gatekeeper between the kitchen and the guest, ensuring every order is fast, flawless, and filled with care. Your job isn’t just about moving tickets—it’s about managing the flow of energy, catching mistakes before guests do, and making sure every plate reflects Hometown’s commitment to excellence.

When things heat up, you stay cool. When a runner hesitates, you direct. And when something’s off, you spot it before anyone else does. You are a leader-by-action, a communicator-under-pressure, and a key culture carrier on every shift.

Key Responsibilities

Speed & Efficiency

• Manage the flow of tickets, keeping the expo line running fast and smooth.
• Stay ahead of ticket times, prioritizing and organizing pickups with urgency and control.
• Identify and address missing items, lagging tickets, or kitchen slowdowns before they escalate.
• Sell food confidently to runners—quickly, clearly, and in the right order.
• Balance multiple orders at once without creating bottlenecks.

Quality & Consistency

• Double-check every single ticket before it goes out—no missing items, no incorrect names, no avoidable mistakes.
• Pay sharp attention to special requests, allergies, and modifications.
• Prevent unfinished or incorrect plates from leaving the expo.
• Ensure each handoff to runners is clear, correct, and sets the team up to succeed.

Knowledge & Technical Skill

• Know the full menu inside and out—ingredients, setups, and common pitfalls.
• Monitor ticket times and adjust the flow to keep service on pace.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen, baristas, and the smoothie station to keep all parts of the operation synced.
• Confidently manage online order pickups and prep sequences.
• Handle pressure with poise, maintaining clean execution from open to close.

Sanitation & Cleanliness

• Keep the expo counter, pickup shelves, and runner zone spotless and stocked.
• Organize utensils, stickers, bags, and boxes so runners can move fast.
• Help maintain the front guest area—because no one wins if the space is cluttered.
• Fully reset and clean the station before clocking out.

Awareness

• Read the room, the line, and the tickets—monitor everything.
• Catch mistakes before guests do. Track ticket times before they spike.
• Stay tuned in to guests who are waiting and update them proactively.
• Be the person who notices what others don’t—and acts on it.

El FOH Expo es el corazón de nuestras operaciones en el área de servicio. Eres el último filtro entre la cocina y el cliente, asegurando que cada pedido sea rápido, impecable y preparado con cuidado. Tu trabajo no se trata solo de mover tickets: se trata de gestionar el flujo de energía, detectar errores antes que los clientes y garantizar que cada plato refleje el compromiso de Hometown con la excelencia.

Responsabilidades clave

Velocidad y eficiencia

• Gestionar el flujo de tickets, manteniendo la línea de expo rápida y fluida.
• Anticipar los tiempos de los pedidos, priorizando y organizando las entregas con urgencia y control.
• Identificar y resolver artículos faltantes, tickets retrasados o demoras en cocina antes de que escalen.
• Entregar la comida a los runners con confianza: rápido, claro y en el orden correcto.
• Equilibrar múltiples pedidos a la vez sin crear cuellos de botella.

Calidad y consistencia

• Revisar cada ticket antes de que salga: sin artículos faltantes, sin nombres incorrectos, sin errores evitables.
• Prestar atención a solicitudes especiales, alergias y modificaciones.
• Evitar que platos incompletos o incorrectos salgan del área de expo.
• Asegurar que cada entrega a los runners sea clara, correcta y facilite el éxito del equipo.

Conocimiento y habilidades técnicas

• Conocer el menú completo a la perfección: ingredientes, presentaciones y errores comunes.
• Monitorear los tiempos de los tickets y ajustar el flujo para mantener el ritmo del servicio.
• Comunicarte eficazmente con cocina, baristas y la estación de smoothies para mantener la operación sincronizada.
• Gestionar con confianza las recogidas de pedidos en línea y las secuencias de preparación.
• Manejar la presión con aplomo, manteniendo una ejecución limpia de apertura a cierre.

Sanidad y limpieza

• Mantener el mostrador de expo, estantes de recogida y zona de runners impecables y abastecidos.
• Organizar utensilios, etiquetas, bolsas y cajas para que los runners se muevan rápido.
• Ayudar a mantener el área de clientes ordenada—porque nadie gana si el espacio está desordenado.
• Restablecer y limpiar completamente la estación antes de salir.

Atención y conciencia

• Leer la sala, la línea y los tickets: monitorear todo.
• Detectar errores antes que los clientes. Vigilar los tiempos antes de que se disparen.
• Estar atento a los clientes que esperan y actualizarlos proactivamente.
• Ser la persona que nota lo que otros no ven—y actuar en consecuencia.
