Audit Manager
Position OverviewThe Audit Manager will oversee the auditing process, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards while managing a team of auditors. This role is essential for maintaining the integrity of financial reporting and providing assurance services to our clients, particularly in the area of Employee Benefit Plans (EBP). Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage audit engagements from planning to completion, including the supervision of staff and the review of work papers.
- Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS) and other regulatory requirements, particularly concerning Employee Benefit Plans.
- Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates on audit progress and addressing any issues that arise during the engagement.
- Prepare and review audit reports, ensuring that all findings are clearly documented and communicated to stakeholders.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior audit staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Stay current with industry trends and regulatory updates related to public accounting, ERISA, and EBP.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on audit, specifically in Employee Benefit Plans.
- Strong knowledge of ERISA regulations and compliance requirements for Employee Benefit Plans.
- Proven ability to manage multiple audit engagements simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients and team members.
