Technical program manager
Job Description
The Data Center Engineering Analytics & Modeling (DCEAM) organization is responsible for delivering business intelligence by combining platform hardware design and data center infrastructure engineering with data science (business analytics, data mining, data visualization, data tools and infrastructure) to enable data-driven data center design, deployment, and operation decisions. This will enable a comprehensive view of the organization's data to drive change, eliminate inefficiencies and quickly adapt to market or supply changes. This Technical Program Manager role will be instrumental in the creation of a service delivery model that prioritizes self-service reporting and access to data that is based on governed data on trusted platforms that empowers users and speed-to-insight.

Own technical program management activities that include:

Coordinate across organizations and their own teams to manage the development and release of critical initiatives, projects and products

Direct business stakeholders to understand and define program requirements, timelines and scope, including resourcing

Own documentation and process for developing, documenting and tracking team strategic objectives. Work with team members to break objectives down into tasks with clearly defined milestones, resource plans, and completion requirements.

Oversee different aspects of a project schedules to ensure timely completion and alignment with program gates

Generate project and program reports to include Objective and Key Results (OKRs) and Key Performance Objectives (KPIs)
Other responsibilities may include, but not be limited to:

Communicate clearly and succinctly insights and actions derived from analyses to a variety of audiences and forums; from presentations to executive leadership to standardized reporting.

Partner with solutions delivery organizations to standardize and automate reporting and data inquiries as well as defining customer requirements for scalable software solutions to be utilized by OHD and OCI organizations
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
-
5+ years in technical program management, engineering, operations management, business analysis

Bachelor's degree in engineering required (BSME or BSEE preferred)

Experience working in Agile workflows; strong JIRA (or similar) skills

Self-starter mentality; thrives in unfamiliar territory

Attention to detail, structured and creative thinking

Proven experience organizing and engaging with stakeholders across matrixed organizations

Excellent communicator in written and verbal form

Extremely versatile, dedicated to efficient productivity

Experience planning and leading strategic initiatives

Nimble business mind with a focus on developing creative solutions

Experience in Data Center Operations or IT Hardware Development preferred

Experience with SQL, Python, Business Intelligence Platforms preferred

Strong foundation of data analysis skills and business acumen with a proven track record of building key performance indicators to measure business or operational performance
Additional Description and Job Requirements
Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work can be formed remotely but may require some travel to visit OCI data centers and/or development centers.
Duties and tasks are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 5 years of project management, product design or related experience preferred.
