Overview
Principal Relationship Manager - Payments Acceptance (Remote-Eligible)The Principal Relationship Manager is responsible for sales, business development, project management, and client management for merchants within assigned industry verticals. Key objectives include driving and protecting incremental revenue, improving market share, and enhancing the customer experience while maximizing profitability against priority goals and initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Growth: Establishing relationships with enablement partners to maximize transaction volume and market share while identifying new internal and external business opportunities
Product & Marketing: Ensuring the implementation of value-added products, broadening our acceptance footprint, and executing marketing initiatives to improve merchant awareness and increase transactions
Operational Excellence: Implementing operational initiatives, ensuring compliance with network change release processes and business practices, and verifying that partners include all appropriate company products in their offerings
Risk & Leadership: Managing and escalating risk or customer-impacting issues to management and providing ongoing coaching and guidance to team members
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification
At least 5 years of experience in sales, relationship management, business development, strategy, operations or project management within financial services
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or Finance
6+ years of experience in sales, relationship management, business development, strategy, operations or project management within financial services
Payments industry experience

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
Remote (Regardless of Location): $138,100 - $157,700 for Principal Relationship Management Riverwoods, IL: $138,100 - $157,700 for Principal Relationship ManagementCandidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
