Medical Assistant / Patient Service Representative - Orthopedics
Hourly Pay Range: $19.89 - $28.84 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidates expertise and years of experience, among other factors.
Position Highlights:
Sign On Bonus: This position is eligible for a $1,000 sign on bonus. The first $500 will be paid on the pay date of the pay period in which you achieve your 6-month mark of employment. The remaining $500 will be paid on the pay date of the pay period in which you achieve your 1-year mark of employment, as long as you are still employed in this position at a 0.5 FTE or above.
Location: Kildeer, IL
Full Time: 40 hours/week
Hours: Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM. Shifts are rotating. Holidays are eves only. No on call or weekends at this time.
Required Travel: For coverage purposes at our Schaumburg office
What You Will Do:
Under the direction of the Supervisor, performs select clinical functions to enhance delivery of patient care. Prepare patients for physical examination, obtain specimens, conduct select routine laboratory tests and x-rays, records results as well as routine diagnostic tests. Under general supervision of a physician, will assist with some in office procedures. Rotates to work the front desk and perform clerical duties related to clinic operations.
What You Will Need:
High school diploma or GED
Preferred: Certified, Registered, and Clinical Certified Medical Assistants (CMA, RMA or CCMA) are required to provide current certification or registration through American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA), National Health career Association (NHA) or any other certifying agency and should have at least 6 months of clinical experience. Can also consider CNA.
Candidates who are not certified or registered should have at least one year of clinical experience.
Current CPR Certification issued by either American Heart Association or American Red Cross
A valid drivers license is required if the incumbent is selected to perform related duties at an off-site location. If the incumbent uses their personal vehicle, the incumbent must maintain automobile liability coverage as required by law and evidence of such coverage may be requested.
Flexible to scheduling changes.
