$235,000 – $390,000+

A nationally recognized law firm is seeking a Bankruptcy & Restructuring Associate Attorney to join its Chicago office.

This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in representing debtors, creditors, lenders, investors, and other stakeholders in sophisticated bankruptcy, insolvency, and restructuring matters.

• 4+ years of bankruptcy, restructuring, insolvency, or creditors' rights experience

• Experience representing debtors, secured lenders, unsecured creditors, committees, investors, or other parties in Chapter 11 proceedings, workouts, and out-of-court restructurings

• Experience handling bankruptcy litigation, insolvency proceedings, distressed transactions, and related restructuring matters

• Experience drafting and negotiating restructuring agreements, financing documents, pleadings, and other bankruptcy-related documents

• Experience with bankruptcy court practice, motion practice, discovery, and contested matters preferred

• Experience with distressed M&A transactions and insolvency-related litigation is a plus

• Strong drafting, analytical, negotiation, and communication skills

• Ability to independently manage matters while working directly with clients

• Excellent academic credentials

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required

• Illinois bar admission required or ability to become admitted
