Position Summary
We are seeking a passionate, knowledgeable, and faith-aligned Girls Track & Field Coach to lead our high school program for the upcoming season. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm for track and field, a commitment to student-athlete development, and the ability to foster a team culture rooted in respect, discipline, and Christian values.
Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and oversee all aspects of the girls track and field program, including practices, meets, and team events
- Provide instruction and training in various track and field disciplines (sprints, distance, jumps, throws, etc.)
- Foster the academic, spiritual, and athletic growth of student-athletes
- Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and character consistent with Catholic values
- Maintain communication with student-athletes, parents, athletic staff, and administration
- Ensure all team activities comply with school, league, and state athletic policies
- Serve as a role model for young women in faith, leadership, and perseverance
Qualifications
- Prior coaching experience in track and field (preferably at the high school level)
- Strong knowledge of track and field events, training, and competition
- Demonstrated leadership and ability to build a positive team culture
- Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education
- CPR/First Aid and relevant coaching certifications (or willingness to obtain)
- Must pass background check and meet diocesan Safe Environment requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience coaching female student-athletes
- Collegiate track and field experience (athlete or coach)
- Teaching or mentoring experience in a school or youth setting
