Senior Pastor
Zion Baptist Church of Newton County, in Covington, Ga., is seeking a seasoned, veteran Pastor to proclaim the Gospel and to love, care for, and minister to its body of believers. Zion Baptist is a Bible based church. The Sr Pastor will be responsible for preaching and teaching GOD’s word faithfully. Our new pastor will be a ‘mission minded pastor’, taking the Word outside the walls of the church. He will be active in evangelism and discipleship. He will be a shepherd for the flock; knowing, loving, and serving its members. He will be responsible for pastoral care through prayer, visitation, and counseling.
We pray for our new Pastor and our prayer is that he be a ‘called man of GOD’. We pray that he loves what he does and is excited about doing it. He has a love for the lost and has a committed desire for them to have a saving knowledge of Christ. He wants to grow that knowledge into an intimate relationship with their Savior. We pray that he relies on the leading of the Holy Spirit as he leads us in worship and intimate growth in our Savior and Lord.
