Job Description

We are seeking a skilled fabricator and welder to join our team. This position will support safety, quality, production, 5s, new equipment installation, and various other activities. There will be a wide range of opportunities to show craftsmanship and skill.

Essential duties and responsibilities

• Fabricate moderately complex parts and equipment
• Weld and build tables, guarding, brackets, and various other support equipment
• Must be able to read and create mechanical drawings as needed
• Use calipers and other precision measuring equipment
• Self-motivated to get assigned work completed
• Must be willing to modify or replace previous work performed
• Must be willing to install or reinstall finished work
• Will need to maintain inventory of materials needed to perform any given task
• Participate in problem solving and continuous improvement activities
• Keep work areas clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures, utilize all PPE.
• Ability to weld both steel and aluminum
• Willingness to work weekends as necessary

Experience

• Proven experience in metal fabrication and welding preferred
• Must have at least 2 plus years of welding experience
• Must have experience using conventional machining equipment
• Ability to do maintenance on shop equipment
• Experience welding aluminum a plus
• Experience with electrical and electrical controls a plus
• Will need to pass a welding test
• Very rarely will need to be able to work in confined spaces
