Backend Software Engineer
LaSalle Network is partnering with a high-growth client to bring on a Mid-Level Software Engineer for their Survey Engineering team. This is a full-time opportunity for a motivated engineer to take ownership of backend systems and play a key role in building scalable, data-driven applications. You’ll work within a modern, cloud-first environment using technologies like Python, Django, SQL, Docker, and GitHub. Ideal candidates bring a problem-solving mindset, an eagerness to collaborate across teams, and a passion for writing clean, maintainable code. Mid-Level Software Engineer Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain backend services with Python and Django
- Design scalable database structures and write optimized SQL queries
- Build and manage Docker-based containers for dev and production
- Participate in peer code reviews and support continuous integration workflows
- Implement features that integrate with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure)
- Collaborate cross-functionally to meet engineering goals and timelines
- Ensure application reliability, performance, and data integrity
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 3–5 years of backend development experience
- Expertise in Python, Django, SQL, and containerization tools
- Experience with GitHub and familiarity with agile workflows
- Knowledge of cloud deployment with AWS or Azure is preferred
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
