Event Manager

Kforce has a client in Chicago, IL that is seeking an Event Manager responsible for designing, executing, and evaluating client events from concept through completion, with a focus on strategic impact and return on investment. Summary: The Event Manager develops event strategies for assigned markets, delivering creative concepts, venue recommendations, and compelling content aligned with business objectives. The position requires close collaboration with global events teams, internal partners, and senior leadership to deliver consistent, high-quality client experiences. This role is fast-paced and demanding, requiring strong communication, precision, data management, and the ability to manage long hours and regional travel. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute event strategies aligned with business goals
• Plan and deliver high-touch client events that meet brand standards
• Manage event logistics end-to-end, including calendars, budgets, vendors, contracts, materials, and onsite execution
• Oversee data management, RSVPs, event communications, and post-event ROI analysis using event management platforms
• Coordinate vendors, venues, audio/visual services, and onsite staff
• Manage post-event reporting, debriefs, and data reconciliation
• Serve as a strategic event partner in meetings with internal stakeholders
• Collaborate across business lines to leverage shared resources and cross-functional event opportunities
• Monitor regional venue trends and support special projects as needed
• 6+ years of prior experience in event management related activities
• Strong proficiency working in Microsoft Products (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
• Ability to master various database products
• Ability to liaise with senior leadership
• Strategic thinker with the ability to problem solve and offer creative solutions
• Must be able to multi-task and work under tight deadlines
• Excellent oral and written communications skills
• Excellent organizational skills and extreme attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize tasks and communicate clearly amongst a variety of personalities
• This position may require working outside of regular business hours and approximately 30% travel on average
• Financial services experience is a plus
