• Start Date: September 15, 2025
• End Date: December 15, 2025
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed hours
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2340 - $2400

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license (Registered Nurse)
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
• Minimum 2 years recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and perform essential physical duties
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Drug-free campus – must pass drug screening

L&D Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver professional patient care to obstetric patients requiring acute maternal-fetal monitoring and intervention
• Provide care for laboring women, including those with pregnancy complications
• Assist with surgical interventions during labor and delivery
• Promote family-centered maternity care and support patients and families
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team members
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Participate in quality improvement and continuing education initiatives
• Educate patients and families on health needs and self-care practices
• Demonstrate professionalism and uphold the mission, vision, and values of the healthcare organization
