Registered Nurse – Pediatric Acute Care Travel Nursing Job in Peoria, IL

- Start Date: September 29, 2025
- End Date: December 29, 2025
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week (after orientation)
- Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2,130 - $2,190
- Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS certification (American Heart Association required)
- PALS certification (or willingness to obtain within two years of hire)
- Minimum 2 years of pediatric nursing experience in an acute care or hospital setting
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Strong clinical, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Ability to pass a comprehensive drug screen (drug-free campus)
- Provide age-appropriate nursing care to pediatric patients in a hospital acute care environment
- Apply knowledge of pediatric growth, development, and psychosocial needs
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, including physicians and allied health professionals
- Educate patients and families on self-care, home care, and discharge procedures
- Utilize pediatric medical equipment and technology in the acute care unit
- Maintain high standards of patient safety, infection control, and quality assurance
