Position Overview

The Division of Developmental Disabilities is seeking to hire a Professional Clinical Coordinator to serve statewide of clinical, psychological, and behavioral policies and programs for the service system for DDD. In conjunction with the Deputy Director and Statewide Medical Director, establishes clinical policy and direction. Provides controlling input of policies, procedures, and directives with respect to psychological and behavioral analysis issues. Develops, provides, and evaluates formal clinical training for psychology staff at DDD service system community agencies and hospitals as well as other direct care staff at DDD service system. Provides professional and administrative oversight of behavior services within DDD.

Essential Functions

  • Serves as the Professional Clinical Coordinator, statewide of clinical, psychological, and behavioral policies and programs for the Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) operated by Department of Human Services (DHS).
  • In conjunction with the Deputy Director and Statewide Medical Director, establishes clinical policy and direction.
  • Develops, provides, and evaluates formal clinical training for the DDD services and hospitals regarding PAS manual.
  • Provides professional and clinical oversight to psychology staff at the DDD service system.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of duties enumerated above.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Requires a PhD in Psychology or a PsyD in Psychology.
  • Requires current license as a Clinical Psychologist by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.
  • Requires three (3) years progressively responsible administrative experience in a Developmental Disabilities or Mental Health agency that provides Developmental Disability services.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Five (5) years of professional experience performing neuropsychological evaluations.
  • Five (5) years of professional experience working with services and supports for individuals with developmental disabilities for a public or private organization.
  • Five (5) years of professional experience interacting with and communicating in oral and written form with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Five (5) years of professional experience in the review and understanding of individual treatment and care policies and procedures.
  • Five (5) years of professional experience developing, providing, and evaluating formal clinical training for staff for a private or public organization.
  • Five (5) years of professional experience providing consultation on behavioral issues and admissions questions for a private or public organization.
