Quality Assurance Technician — Medical & Pharmaceutical Packaging

Join Technipaq in Crystal Lake and help ensure the quality of packaging that supports medical and pharmaceutical customers. In this hands-on role, you’ll validate materials and product at every stage of production and keep our lines running at peak performance 24 hours a day.

Role highlights

• Verify incoming materials, in-process work, and finished goods via tests, gauging, and instrument inspections.
• Interpret product specifications and confirm critical dimensions down to 1/16 of an inch.
• Document findings and complete straightforward production reports.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams; report directly to the Quality Manager.

Work schedule

• B Shift: 6:00 am – 6:30 pm
• Week 1: Sun/Wed/Thu
• Week 2: Mon/Tue/Fri/Sat
• All shifts are at our Crystal Lake, IL location

What we’re looking for

• Age 18+; High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1+ year as a Quality Inspector in production (flexible packaging preferred) OR 1+ years as a Machine Operator conducting dimensional checks.
• Understanding of quality assurance methods and manufacturing environments; ability to read product specs.
• Math fluency (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and confidence measuring to 1/16" using rulers and gauges.
• English proficiency for verbal instructions; able to read/write to follow work orders and complete reports.
• Capable of occasionally lifting/moving up to 40 lbs unassisted and remaining active (bend, crouch, walk, stand, push, sit) for the full shift.
• Comfort with near/mid-range vision work, data entry, keyboarding, talking, hearing, and detailed hand motions.

Our operations include laminating, slitting, sheeting, die cutting, fabricating, and flexographic printing for pouches, lids, and roll stock made from foil, film, Tyvek, and paper laminates.
