Project Manager (Oakbrook Terrace)

Mid-Level Project Manager | Utility & Civil Construction Projects | Hybrid (Oakbrook Terrace, IL)

We’re seeking a Mid-Level Project Manager to join a utility-focused organization supporting civil construction and infrastructure projects. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience managing utility or engineering projects who can drive execution from planning through completion while ensuring strong financial and operational control.

What You’ll Do:

Lead end-to-end project delivery for utility or civil construction initiatives from initiation through closeout

Develop detailed project plans including scope, timelines, milestones, and resource allocation

Coordinate cross-functional teams and manage day-to-day project execution activities

Track project performance, risks, issues, and implement mitigation strategies

Manage budgets, cost tracking, and monthly cash flow forecasting

Review contracts, bids, and proposals to support project decision-making

Communicate project updates to stakeholders and senior leadership

Ensure compliance with quality standards, timelines, and budget requirements

Maintain comprehensive project documentation including schedules, reports, and plans

Conduct field visits and site walkdowns as needed to support execution

What You Bring:

3+ years of project management experience in utilities, civil construction, or engineering projects

Strong understanding of utility systems (Electric, Gas, or Water) and infrastructure projects

Experience reading and interpreting civil construction plans and technical drawings

Hands-on experience with project financial forecasting and monthly cash flows

Exposure to contract review, bidding processes, and proposal evaluation

Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Ability to work independently in a hybrid environment while managing multiple priorities

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technical Field, or Project Management

Nice to Have:

PMP Certification

PE License

Experience in utility relocation projects

Pay: $60 – $62/hour.
