Senior electrician

Salary: $30 per hour + none

Spherion is seeking highly skilled Electricians to support our foundry and machining operations. In this critical role, you will perform advanced maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of our electrical, PLC, robotic, and CNC systems. You will play a key part in ensuring our plant runs safely and efficiently, and you will be responsible for mentoring junior staff.

Responsibilities :

• Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair of electrical, PLC, CNC, and robotic systems in both foundry and machining environments.
• Lead the installation and wiring of motors, drives, sensors, and control systems, including VFDs and soft starts.
• Safely work with electrical systems from 24VDC up to 13.8kVA.
• Connect to and make minor program changes within PLC systems to support operations.
• Read, interpret, and update electrical schematics and technical documents.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior electricians and maintenance staff.
• Ensure all work complies with OSHA, NFPA, and NEC safety standards.

Qualifications :

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; a technical or trade school certificate in electrical systems is a must.
• Extensive experience in industrial electrical maintenance, especially in a manufacturing or foundry setting.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, troubleshooting, and industrial wiring.
• Proficiency with diagnostic equipment, PLC systems, CNCs, and robotics.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently and safely on complex electrical systems.
