Order Entry Specialist
Work Environment
The work hours are from 7:30am to 4:00pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional extra hours during busy periods. The company has a family-oriented atmosphere, frequently celebrating birthdays and hosting lunches. Team events and potlucks are occasionally organized. The company operates in the utility market, ensuring a stable workload. Bonuses are awarded mid-year or at the end of the year based on customer profitability.
Job Description
As a Customer Order Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing orders and ensuring customer satisfaction. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting system training sessions, preparing customer quotes, processing orders, and resolving accounts payable and receivable issues. You will also be responsible for tracking orders, expediting materials, and maintaining accurate records.
Responsibilities

Conduct ongoing system training sessions with the team.

Prepare and provide customer quotes.

Process non-stock orders within 48 hours and handle all emergency orders, including processing spot buy purchase orders to vendors.

Monitor and update order status, ensuring past due orders and two-week look-ahead dates are completed daily.

Perform daily sourcing activities.

Communicate upcoming projects to the team.

Resolve accounts payable and accounts receivable issues.

Request and process order revisions.

Review open orders regularly.

Expedite material, ensuring the team responds to customer inquiries within 45 minutes.

Work on OSD&D reports.

Track orders and maintain accurate records.

Complete and manage SMAA forms, providing alternate materials for discontinued items.

Fulfill SQAD requirements by obtaining necessary documents from customers for specific applications.
Qualifications:

1-3+ years of experience within customer service/order management

Account management
-
Order entry or management
-
Familiarity with MS Office
-
HS Diploma or GED Minimum
Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with Microsoft Office

Strong communication skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

This is a Permanent position based out of Cicero, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.44/hr.
