About the Role

As a CMM Programming Specialist, you will program, operate, and maintain coordinate measuring machines to verify the dimensional accuracy of precision-machined parts. You’ll translate tight-tolerance GD&T into robust PC-DMIS routines and apply AS9100 practices to ensure every part meets specification.

A Day in the Life

Your morning might start with a new aerospace component: you review the model and print, plan your datums, and build a PC-DMIS program. You run a first article, collaborate with machinists on any variances, document results, and contribute to nonconformance investigations when needed. Throughout the day, you keep gauges calibrated, refine in-process checks, and partner with engineering to safeguard process accuracy.

What You’ll Do

• Develop, edit, and validate CMM programs using PC-DMIS (Zeiss Calypso or similar also welcomed).
• Execute first article, in-process, and final inspections on precision components.
• Interpret engineering drawings/CAD to define inspection strategies and measurement points.
• Produce clear inspection reports; document results and support nonconformance investigations.
• Maintain, verify, and calibrate metrology tools and measuring equipment.
• Work closely with production and engineering to resolve quality issues and improve process capability.

What You Bring

• 3+ years of CMM programming and dimensional inspection experience in precision machining or aerospace/defense.
• Proficiency with PC-DMIS preferred; experience with Zeiss Calypso or comparable software considered.
• Strong command of GD&T, blueprint interpretation, and advanced measurement methods.
• Hands-on experience within AS9100 / ISO 9001 quality systems.
• Exceptional attention to detail, documentation accuracy, and analytical problem-solving.
