Are you ready to be part of something truly unique? Above and Beyond Family Recovery Center is on the lookout for a passionate and innovative Director of Development to join our dynamic team. Located in the heart of Chicago, we are redefining recovery and want you to play a key role in helping deliver the best therapeutic outcomes for our patients. Above and Beyond Family Recovery Center is an award-winning addiction treatment center on the Westside of Chicago offering same-day, walk-in, free, behavioral, outpatient recovery services. Additionally, we offer early intervention, medical care, housing and employment support as well as street outreach.

Responsibilities:
- Research, develop, and submit grant opportunities for the organization
- Acquire a deep understanding of Above and Beyond’s mission, history, and objective in order to secure funding from foundations and government agencies
- Stewarding and growing a portfolio of prospective donors and reinvigorating relationships with lapsed donors
- Create program development and evaluation tools and maintain budgeted costs and a complex work calendar.
- Help develop and grow relationships with partner organizations
- Foster an inclusive environment, encouraging our coworkers to utilize their different backgrounds to the advantage of the patients.
- Recognize potential opportunities and develop strategic plans for approach and execution on the fly.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in Communications, Public Administration, or English PREFERRED
- Minimum 2 years of grant writing experience is REQUIRED
- Proven experience in a leadership role, preferably in managing government grants
- Experience managing a CRM/donor database such as DonorPerfect, Raiser’s Edge, Bloomerang, or Salesforce for nonprofits
- Demonstrated track record stewarding and closing major gifts
- Experience in pre- and post-award contract management including impact reporting
