Radiologic Technologist Job Details

• Location: Peoria, Illinois 61636
• Healthcare Setting: Hospital – Cardiovascular Invasive Unit
• Assignment Type: Travel Radiologic Technologist (Locum Tenens)
• Start Date: September 8, 2025
• End Date: December 6, 2025
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Day Shift, 10-hour shifts
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $3,000 – $3,080

Radiologic Technologist Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist in a cardiovascular invasive healthcare setting
• Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology or Certificate of completion from an accredited Radiology Program
• Current IEMA (Illinois Emergency Management Agency) License in Radiologic Technology
• ARRT Registration (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
• BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
• Advanced knowledge of hemodynamic concepts, cardiac anatomy, physiology, and imaging equipment operation
• Competency in moderate sedation administration and policy protocol
• Proficient in EKG interpretation and arrhythmia recognition
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Basic computer proficiency

Radiologic Technologist Responsibilities

• Assist cardiologists in performing invasive, diagnostic, and interventional cardiac, vascular, and electrophysiologic procedures
• Set up and operate electrical and imaging equipment for cardiovascular procedures
• Monitor and interpret hemodynamic data using automated techniques
• Advocate for patient needs and provide education to reduce anxiety during procedures
• Maintain aseptic technique, prepare sterile fields, and assist with guidewires, catheters, and devices
• Collaborate with healthcare team members, research coordinators, and vendors to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Manage digital archiving systems for secure storage and retrieval of patient images and reports
• Perform daily equipment checks and report or address malfunctions promptly
• Document patient care and significant observations accurately
• Mentor and train healthcare team members as needed
