We're looking for a Human Resources (HR) Coordinator who embodies the Hyatt Values and ideally has previous hospitality experience. This entry level HR position works in partnership with the HR team, hotel leaders and hotel colleagues. As the HR Coordinator, you are the gate keeper in the HR department and are the first impression to our colleagues. You will assist with greeting all visitors, colleagues and applicants while maintaining important duties of a highly active and fast-paced Human Resources office. This role will play a vital part in maintaining a positive work environment and promoting the hotel’s culture, policies, and procedures.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Maintenance of incoming office calls and walk in inquires by serving as a point of contact for colleagues regarding HR policies, benefits, and workplace needs
- Facilitation of weekly payroll closure in partnership with hotel leaders and Hyatt’s shared services center.
- Coordinate benefits billing administration for both union and non-union colleagues on a monthly basis
- Maintaining accurate employee records, including personal details, performance evaluations, training records, and coaching documentation. This is inclusive of electronic management of files via our HRIS system, Share Point and other electronic means.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and industry regulations by maintaining up-to-date HR documentation and records.
- Assist in the coordination of colleague engagement activities, recognition programs, and wellness initiatives to foster a positive workplace culture
- Support and assist with the welcoming of new hires, transfers and those departing their roles with the hotel.
- Prepare reports and analytics on HR-related metrics for management review.
- Perform other HR-related tasks and special projects as assigned by fellow HR colleagues.
Wage information The hourly wage range for this position is $27.75 to $29.00
