Le Colonial Restaurant Group is on an exciting growth trajectory! With 7 locations in major cities across the US, 600+ employees, and ambitious plans for further expansion, we are actively seeking an exceptional Lead Accounting Strategist to join our dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to grow with the company and advance into leadership positions.

In just 3 short years, we've expanded from three restaurants to seven, and we're not stopping there! This position is crucial in supporting our executives and senior management with a variety of accounting and financial duties as we continue to grow.

Our boutique and vibrant Finance and Administrative Department is located in Chicago's Gold Coast Neighborhood, just a few blocks from the Chicago Ave Redline stop. The team consists of a small core group in Chicago, supported by office managers at each location and an off-shore data team.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the CFO to oversee the Accounting and Finance Department.
• Ensure timely completion of the full accounting cycle, from initial data entry to financial statement compilation.
• Enhance current systems for greater efficiency and automation.
• Assist with the expansion of new locations.
• Produce various ad-hoc reports such as cash forecasts, sales analysis, payroll analysis, annual budgets, etc.
• Assist in annual tax return preparation and annual compilation reports.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Mathematics.
• CPA, CFA, or comparable certification preferred.
• 4+ years in Accounting or Finance, with 2+ years in a management position.
• Advanced Excel knowledge, including writing Macros/Visual-Basic and constructing advanced embedded formulas.
• Strong focus on computer efficiency, keyboard shortcuts, fast typing capabilities, quick learning, problem-solving, and thinking outside the box.
• Thorough understanding of the full financial statement preparation process.
• Experience in various areas of accounting, such as payroll processing, income tax preparation, financial modeling, underwriting, and other core financial areas.
• Some knowledge of new entity formation and related legal areas, such as Private Placement Memorandums, Operating Agreements, Lease Analysis, Secretary of State Filings, etc.
