Access Analyst
Overview
This team is responsible for ensuring proper control of access to enterprise IT systems and data assets across applications, platforms, and databases. The Access Analyst will support access administration, data processing, and compliance activities, working closely with auditors, system owners, and internal stakeholders.
This is an entry‑level role ideal for candidates who are detail‑oriented, eager to learn, and strong with Excel and data analysis. Exposure to access administration is helpful but not required.
Primary Responsibilities
- Pull, gather, and format large datasets needed for user‑access recertification activities.
- Conduct status reviews throughout the recertification cycle to identify discrepancies and initiate corrections.
- Manage email communications regarding issues, clarifications, and recertification progress.
- Ensure system owners process access changes promptly, including removal or modification of user permissions.
- Perform application and database recertifications using internal recertification tools.
- Resolve IT service tickets (ITSM) related to access issues.
- Communicate updates and findings to mid‑ and upper‑level management through email, reporting, or calls.
- Generate various Excel‑based reports for leadership review.
- Support audit requests related to access controls, recertification, and access administration practices.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of professional business experience.
- Strong, Excel-heavy experience (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data manipulation, formatting, cleanup, etc.).
- Hands-on experience or familiarity with Active Directory (user creation, modification, permissions, groups).
- A+ CompTIA certification preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree required (business, information systems, IT, cybersecurity, or related fields preferred).
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, especially when managing large datasets.
- Familiarity with audit principles, segregation of duties (SoD), and risk controls.
- Understanding of database concepts; proficiency with Microsoft Access is a plus.
- Strong communication, analytical thinking, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to manage and execute multiple concurrent tasks.
- Awareness of regulatory requirements (e.g., SOX).

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
