Job InfoPOSITION - Union: NYSEG Stock HandlerNUMBER OF POSITIONS: 1LOCATION: NYSEG - NY - GenevaHOURLY RATE: $41.94 - $42.94ResponsibilitiesUnder directive supervision:Receives, documents, handles and stores incoming shipments of materials and supplies, including quality control and other receipt inspections.Assembles material for jobs or for transfer to other Storerooms.Prepares out going materials and arranges for shipments.Accepts material returns and sorts for stock or salvage.Performs inventories, as required, including review of stock levels and obsolescence. Drives and operates all Stores equipment, such as forklifts and Stores trucks.Performs Stores clerical duties as required.Performs related or less skilled work as required.Skills and RequirementsShould have had at least one year of experience in related utility operations or the equivalent, prior experience in the Stores Department is desirable. Must be able to perform semi-routine operations of considerable complexity and variety where standard methods of procedure are available.
