Pay Rate: $61,000 - $70,000 per annum

Job Summary:

Pedalpoint Recycling LLC is seeking a reliable and experienced Night Shift Shredder Lead to oversee shredder operations and lead a team of 9 employees during night production.
This is a hands-on leadership role. The Shredder Lead will operate equipment, direct workflow, enforce safety standards, and ensure production goals are met. The ideal candidate has machine operator experience, strong mechanical awareness, and the ability to lead a crew with structure and accountability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor industrial shredding equipment.
• Ensure proper material flow and prevent contamination.
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic troubleshooting.
• Minimize downtime and report mechanical issues promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization around shredder area (5S standards).
• Lead and direct a crew of 9-night shift employees.
• Assign tasks and manage workflow to hit nightly production targets.
• Hold team accountable for safety, quality, and productivity.
• Train new operators and reinforce standard operating procedures.
• Communicate clearly with day shift leadership during shift transitions.
• Enforce OSHA and company safety protocols.
• Ensure proper PPE usage at all times.
• Address unsafe behavior immediately.
• Maintain a secure and controlled production environment.
• Monitor nightly throughput, downtime, and material output.
• Report production numbers and issues to management.
• Assist in maintaining accurate material documentation.

Must Have:

• 2-5 years' experience in recycling, manufacturing, or industrial operations.
• Must have led a team of more than 20+ members.
• Robot Machines/Robot Mechanics
• Must have ability to grow a team
• Prior experience operating shredders, conveyors, or heavy machinery required.
• Previous leadership or lead-hand experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
