Position Overview

We are seeking a full-time Staff Accountant to join Aptaero. This role combines multiple areas of accounting, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate will handle accounts payable processes, accounts receivable, sales tax compliance and assist with month end close and financial reporting and ad hoc projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Accounts Payable:
• Processes, codes, and enters vendor invoices accurately and timely.
• Reviews and reconciles vendor statements to ensure account accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Collaborates with internal departments and vendors to address inquiries and support expense management.
• Make appropriate month end close accruals
• Accounts Receivable:

• Draft monthly transactional and subscription invoices.
• Record customer payments and maintain timely collections.
• · Sales Tax Compliance:
  • Assist in filing monthly and annual sales tax returns in various states.
• · Month End Close:
  • Reconcile monthly balance sheet accounts and solve any variances
• Make appropriate month end close entries for various accounts

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 3-5 years of proven accounting experience, preferably in SaaS or tech industries and has worked in a fast-paced environment.
• Technical Aptitude: Proficiency in accounting software tools (e.g., QuickBooks Online, Xero, Rippling, Causal) and advanced excel knowledge.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies with attention to detail.
• Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
• Organizational Skills: Exceptional ability to prioritize, multitask, and maintain accurate financial records.
• Education: B.A in Accounting

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Yooz, Clickup, and ConnectWise
