Position Summary

Elite Paving is seeking a highly experienced Concrete Finisher to lead concrete placement, forming, finishing, and equipment operation for commercial, municipal, and industrial projects. This role requires advanced technical skills , leadership, jobsite ownership, and a commitment to quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all concrete finishing operations on assigned job sites.
• Operate finishing equipment including power trowels, vibrating screeds, and laser screeds.
• Set grades, elevations, and layout lines.
• Build, set, and strip forms.
• Ensure concrete placement meets project specifications and tolerances.
• Operate heavy equipment including skid steers, mini‑excavators, and compactors.
• Direct laborers and junior finishers to maximize production and quality.
• Perform jobsite quality checks before, during, and after concrete placement.
• Maintain production efficiency while ensuring safety and craftsmanship.
• Enforce safety standards and proper PPE usage.
• Coordinate daily tasks with foreman and operations management.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of steady concrete finishing experience required.
• Proven ability to set forms accurately for flatwork, curbs, sidewalks, and slabs.
• Experience operating construction equipment such as: Skid steers, Mini excavators, Power trowels, Screeds (manual and machine.)
• Ability to read grade stakes, string lines, and blueprints when needed.
• Strong understanding of concrete placement, finishing, and curing processes.
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions and perform physical labor.
• Valid driver’s license (preferred)

Key Responsibilities:

• Set and align forms for concrete pours (sidewalks, curbs, gutters, pads, and slabs)
• Prepare subgrade and ensure proper compaction and elevation.
• Place, pour, and finish concrete to meet company and customer standards.
• Perform finishing techniques including:ScreedingFloatingTroweling (hand and machine)
• Edging and jointing.
• Ensure proper slopes, drainage, and ADA compliance where required.
• Operate and maintain equipment safely and efficiently.
• Work closely with foreman and crew to maintain production goals.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional job site.
• Assist with layout, grading, and site preparation as needed
