KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on propane, electric, and diesel fork trucks
• Perform scheduled and preventative maintenance on all fork truck equipment
• Repair and maintain engines, transmissions, brakes, steering systems, and lift mechanisms
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, batteries, and charging systems
• Inspect fork trucks for OSHA compliance and maintain safety standards on the floor
• Perform welding and fabrication repairs as needed
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and service records for all equipment
• Respond quickly to breakdowns to minimize production downtime
• Order parts and manage repair inventory proactively
• Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer specifications and safety requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years of experience repairing fork trucks or heavy industrial equipment
• Strong working knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Hands-on experience with propane, electric, and diesel fork truck systems
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and service manuals
• Valid driver's license required
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work safely in an industrial environment
• Self-directed with strong troubleshooting instincts and a safety-first approach
• Welding experience preferred

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• Background in manufacturing or automotive supplier environments
• OEM certification (Toyota, Hyster, Yale, Crown, or equivalent) preferred
• Familiarity with OSHA ICE compliance standards for fork trucks
• Experience with electric fork truck battery systems and charging infrastructure
