Senior Deltek VantagePoint System Administrator
- Manage day-to-day access and process controls and end user support.
- Responsible for reconfiguring reporting functionality as needed and proposing changes to make platform more effective and user friendly. (forms, web parts, and application technologies, etc.)
- Have oversight for the overall technical health of the Deltek Cloud ERP system.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Deltek application usage issues, with focus on Project, Billing & Enterprise Reporting Modules.
- Develop dashboarding capabilities.
- Design and deliver reusable and ad-hoc reports.
- Provide guidance, training, and support on core functionality
- Make recommendations for enhanced reporting, data management and to improve operational agility and efficiency.
- Lead the evaluation, escalation, and resolution of defects with system
- Research, gather and analyze information then formulate effective recommendations and actions.
- Interact with senior leadership, finance team and end users to understand business requirements and contribute creative ideas and enhancements to the platform.
- Act as main point of contact to consultants and vendors supporting the system by updating helpdesk tickets, and escalating issues to vendor support as needed.
- Monitor ticket queue and support Deltek applications related user access requests, changes, and issues. Facilitate system change requests.
- Acquire and maintain knowledge of core business processes.
- Participate in the planning, designing, documenting, implementing, testing and support of business systems/applications.
- Promote compliance with Financial Accounting Policies and Processes when processing requests.
- Support new initiatives and other IT related projects and tasks, providing opportunities to expand responsibilities and skillset; Important to be flexible and willing to learn/perform other IT administration tasks as assigned.
- 5+ years experience as an IT System Administrator working with an ERP system (with at least 3 years working in Deltek)
- Thorough knowledge of Deltek applications.
- Experience working on cross functional teams, interacting with multiple stakeholders in the organization (IT, Operations, Finance, Legal/Contracts).
- Strong analytical skills and problem solving.
- Proven time-management skills and attention to detail.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles.
- Demonstrated strong understanding of engineering contract types (fixed price, T&M, Cost Type).
