Part Time Classroom Assistant
Overview
We are seeking the right person to join our small but mighty team! West Suburban Montessori School has been an exemplary AMI-accredited Montessori School in Oak Park for 35 years and counting!
We seek an energetic, kind, and dependable person for our WSMS community. This is a part-time position (3:30 - 6:00 pm) will be flexible) working with children between the ages of 3 and 6. Please email your resume to [email protected] call 708-848-2662.
Duties
- Support classroom management by fostering positive behavior and creating a safe, inclusive space for children.
- Support children with childcare routines and independence.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment
Skills
- Experience working with children a plus, but we are willing to train through observation
- Montessori curiosity needed
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to implement behavior management strategies effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and listening skills
- Kind, peaceful but firm.
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15.0 per week
Work Location: In person
