At Foundation Building Materials (FBM), our CDL Drivers are essential—delivering materials safely, efficiently, and with pride. Enjoy local routes, daily home time, competitive pay, and a supportive culture built on safety and respect.
Responsibilities and Qualifications:Key Responsibilities
- Vehicle Operation
- Safely operates company vehicles, including up to 26’ trucks, in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
- Deliver materials to customer project sites on time, providing excellent customer service.
- Additional training such as Forklift, and other specified equipment may be required.
- Basic understanding and knowledge of the operation of a forklift and other equipment.
Delivery & Customer Service
- Unload materials at delivery locations and verify deliveries against packing slips.
- Ensure deliveries are handled professionally and courteously, always representing the company positively.
- The ability to unload, protect, move and stage materials as specified by customer directive.
- Basic understanding and knowledge of building materials.
Safety
- Adheres to all driving regulations based on state and/or jurisdiction policies such as wearing a seatbelt.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
- Follow all safety protocols and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements to maintain a safe working environment.
- Use proper lifting techniques.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, safety shoes and clothing.
Communication- Must attend and participate in all required meetings in relation to material delivery and overall company.
Training Requirements- Attend and participate in all required company training programs.
Physical Job Requirements
- Frequent use of hands and arms for equipment operation, grasping and manipulation.
- Frequent driving or sitting in a truck, forklift or other similar equipment for multiple hours a day.
- Occasionally lift and/or move 80 lbs. and climb ladders carrying up to 50 lbs.
- Pushing and pulling carts loaded carts over various distances and surfaces. Some functions may be performed as a team.
- Must be able to learn how to operate a forklift and other company vehicles and must understand and be able to use miscellaneous tools and equipment, including but not limited to: dollies, flat carts, and rock carts
- Additional physical requirements may be needed as duties are assigned.

Qualifications
- Possess valid Class A or Class B CDL.
- Minimum 1-year consistent commercial driving experience.
- Works well in a team environment.

Compensation
The listed pay range reflects the expected base rate for this position; actual compensation may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and cost of living in the assigned market. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
