Head of US Marketing

Housr is a high-growth tech company on a mission to improve the student rental experience. In just 18 months we have grown from 0 to 10 million dollars in ARR. We recently raised a 10 million dollar Series A and are investing heavily in expanding across the US and Canada college markets.
We are now hiring a Head of Marketing, US and Canada to take ownership of our growth across North America.
This is a foundational leadership role. You will shape how Housr is understood by universities and colleges, building demand, credibility and brand awareness in a market where trust matters.
It is an opportunity for a marketing leader who wants to define a category and shape the public presence of a fast-scaling company.
This role has it all
Working closely with Housr’s Global Head of Marketing, you will own the university-facing marketing strategy across the US and Canada.
You will shape how Housr shows up to university and college decision-makers, from first engagement through to signed partnership.
You will be building in new regions, engaging new campuses and developing new narratives.
What we’re looking for
- You have led marketing within a high-growth B2B or B2B2C startup, ideally selling into complex or institutional buyers.
- You have experience marketing to universities, colleges or similarly regulated or considered markets. Alternatively, you have built trust with buyers who require credibility and evidence before making decisions.
- You are both strategic and hands-on. You can define direction and also write the copy, launch the campaign or host the event when needed.
- You understand content-led growth, thought leadership and narrative-driven marketing.
- You work closely with sales to generate pipeline, not just awareness.
- You communicate clearly and confidently, with strong writing and a well-formed point of view.
- You are curious and motivated to understand your customer deeply.
What you’ll do
Own US Marketing Strategy
- Develop and execute the end-to-end marketing strategy for universities, Property Partners and Perk Partners across the US and Canada.
Build Category Credibility
- Position Housr as a trusted authority in off-campus student living through:
- Thought leadership content
- Research, insights and perspective
- Conference presence and speaking opportunities
- Founder and executive storytelling
Drive Pipeline for University Partnerships
- Work closely with sales to design campaigns, content and events that directly support university acquisition and expansion.
Create Compelling Content and Messaging
- Ensure everything Housr shares is clear, differentiated and credible.
Launch and Scale Key Marketing Channels
- Content and editorial
- Events and conferences
- Partnerships and co-marketing
- Email and lifecycle campaigns
- Website messaging and conversion journeys
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner closely with sales, go-to-market, product and leadership teams to ensure marketing is aligned with company strategy and market feedback.
This role may not be right for you if

Interview process
We aim to keep the process thoughtful and efficient.
- Introductory call, 30 minutes
- A conversation to understand your background and align on expectations.
- Marketing deep dive and case discussion, 45 minutes
- A strategic conversation with Housr’s Global Head of Marketing focused on increasing visibility among universities in the US and Canada.
- Marketing strategy task and presentation, 1 hour
- You will present how you would build Housr’s university marketing engine, including messaging, channels and priorities.
- Final conversation with leadership, 45 minutes
- A discussion focused on long-term vision and alignment.
