Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) Manager is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of EDI systems and processes that support seamless data exchange between the organization and its trading partners. This role ensures the accuracy, efficiency, and security of electronic transactions, while collaborating with internal teams and external partners to optimize supply chain and business operations.
POSITION LOCATION:
This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule based out of Deerfield, IL. Effective fall 2025, Fortune Brands will transition to a new world-class campus in Deerfield, bringing together associates from across our U.S. offices, brands, and functions. The campus will offer vibrant workspaces for collaboration, along with amenities for dining, onsite daycare, fitness and recreation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the development, configuration, and support of EDI systems and integrations with ERP, WMS, and other enterprise platforms.
- Manage relationships with trading partners, vendors, and third-party EDI providers to ensure timely and accurate data exchange.
- Monitor EDI transaction flows, troubleshoot errors, and implement corrective actions to maintain data integrity.
- Collaborate with IT, operations, finance, and customer service teams to align EDI processes with business needs.
- Define and enforce EDI standards, documentation, and best practices across the organization.
- Oversee onboarding of new trading partners and manage EDI mapping and testing processes.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ANSI X12, EDIFACT) and data security protocols.
- Provide training and support to internal users on EDI-related tools and workflows.
- Analyze EDI performance metrics and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in EDI management, systems integration, or related IT roles.
- Strong knowledge of EDI standards, protocols (FTP, AS2, VAN), and mapping tools.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and EDI platforms (e.g., IBM Sterling File Gateway, Boomi, SPS Commerce, TrueCommerce).
- Excellent problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $125,000 USD - $150,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
