Site Production Scheduler (OOJ-36095)
Based in Chicago Heights, IL company is looking to engage a motivated Site Production Scheduler who will be responsible for the development of the Production Schedule in the agreed horizon including the preparation, review and confirmation of production schedules in line with the agreed site process.
- Ensure to have an efficient site-specific production schedule by balancing costs, service level and inventories in alignment with the Regional Supply Planning Manager.
- Responsible for the validation of Production Schedule exception and the creation of recommendations to create a viable Production Schedule.
- Report and track changes to the schedule and work on corrective actions to improve schedule accuracy.
Ensure accurate review, update, release and oversight of work orders:
- Ensure materials are available prior to releasing work orders.
- Ensure timely review of work orders.
- Ensure timely update of work orders based on planning horizon rules.
- Monitor the manufacturing performance to the MPS (KPI reporting), conduct root cause assessments and initiate corrective actions as part of a continuous improvement process.
- Continued review of the MPS relative to actual sales and production on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
- Monthly reporting as required (e.g. Supply Point Capability Review, Labor and Overhead Recovery projections).
- Close alignment and review with the Regional Planner.
- Ensure necessary handover and agreement on detailed production schedule during weekly production meetings.
- Facilitate relevant forums and meetings with production/manufacturing to continuously improve the schedule and the stability.
- Chairing or participating in production meetings, planning meetings and other meetings as required.
- Support relevant demand and supply forums in particular the IBP process: Provide input as required, report issues and attend at the local Supply Point Capability Review meeting.
- Participate in annual manufacturing budget process.
Act as a data custodian for specific data elements including:
- Executional data management activities for designated system attributes
- Adherence to global data governance policy
- Make recommendations for improvement to site-level Data Steward
Qualifications
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or related field of CPM
- 3+ years in Operational Supply Chain and Supply Planning
- Strong data analysis skills, particularly advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, complex formulas, macros, VBA, power query)
- Experience with Power BI or similar data visualization tools
- Demonstrated ability to manipulate large datasets and create meaningful reports
- Experience turning complex data into actionable insights
- APICS or similar certifications preferred.
- Experience in Chemical Manufacturing Preferred
- The ideal candidate will have very good knowledge of Production Scheduling tools and processes and has demonstrated leadership experience in supply chain planning roles/ production schedule roles.
