Quality Inspector

Kadon Precision Machining
Rockford, IL
Description

Kadon is growing, and we’re excited to welcome a Quality Inspector to our team. As our production continues to expand, this role is essential to maintaining the high standards our customers rely on. You’ll be joining a supportive, experienced, and genuinely great team that values collaboration, accuracy, and continuous improvement. If you take pride in having exceptional attention to detail, you’ll fit right in here.

About The Role

In this position, you’ll help ensure that every product leaving our facility meets the quality expectations Kadon is known for. You’ll work with precision measurement tools, review parts for accuracy, and support our manufacturing team as we continue to grow. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, problem-solving, and being part of a team that works well together.

What You’ll Do

  • Inspect finished products to ensure they meet customer and company requirements.
  • Use a range of measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and optical comparators.
  • Perform visual checks to catch defects, irregularities, or deviations from specifications.
  • Carefully read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Document inspection results and non-conformities with accuracy and clarity.
  • Work closely with a strong, supportive manufacturing and quality team to resolve issues and improve processes.
  • Contribute to ongoing development of quality procedures and inspection techniques as the company grows.
  • Stay informed on industry standards and best practices.

What We Offer

  • Competitive wages with opportunities for growth
  • Comprehensive health, dental and vision insurance options
  • 401(k) plan with company support to help you build your future
  • Company-paid life insurance coverage
  • Short-term and long-term disability insurance for added peace of mind
  • Additional perks and benefits designed to support you both at work and at home

Requirements

What You Bring

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and blueprints.
  • Strong understanding of basic inspection tools and techniques.
  • Exceptional attention to detail — spotting small inconsistencies others may miss.
  • Comfortable collaborating with others to solve problems and improve processes.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with digital quality systems.
  • Able to work independently, stay organized, and meet deadlines.

At Kadon, we’re proud of our growth and even prouder of the people behind it. If you’re looking to join a great team in a supportive, growing environment — and you bring outstanding attention to detail — we’d love to hear from you.
