TT QA Tire Cutter Technician

The TT QA Tire Cutter/Technician will be:
Responsible for the complete tire cutting process from obtaining tires, cutting tires, buffing tires, removing scrap, equipment maintenance, and housekeeping. Responsible for cross training with all function of TT CTD / Testing Technician.
Perform truck tire section cutting, obtain tires, section each tire on bandsaw and prepare for analysis.
Lift and manuever tires weighing 60 to 200 lbs.
Create cutting programs in the saw computer interface.
Section and buff tires for Truck ETO group and PI Engineers.
Section and buff tire sections for scrap tire analysis for QA Analysis Technician, PI, Production, or other sources.
Cut cross sections on smaller bandsaw for analysis review.
Perform innerliner buff on tire sections.
Cut returned goods tires when required.
Order/ maintain adequate supplies to perform all duties with oversight from Quality Supervisor.
Oversee work area to ensure proper maintenance of equipment and work area. Perform and maintain housekeeping of work area to provide a safe work environment. Entering in work orders when needed.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Quality Supervisor and / or the Quality Management Team.
Ensure all ESH procedures, policies and legal requirements are implemented and monitored.
Able to perform a cut section analysis in the CTD client.
NOTE: May not be inclusive of all work required and may be updated as needed.
Basic Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED

Safety is our highest priority and safety procedures/ guidelines must be always adhered to. This includes safety wear such as hearing protection and steel toe shoes.

New Hires will likely be placed on a shift that includes evenings and weekends.

The job is within a non-climate controlled environment where you will be exposed to temperature swings (hot/cold), forklift and pedestrian traffic, and noise. Majority of work completed in a high heat environment.

The role involves various physical tasks, including lifting, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and operating machinery, with comprehensive training provided.

The starting annual salary for this role is $54,325 a year.
