Registered Nurse Job Details

• Location: Peoria, Illinois 61637 – Midwest healthcare hub with excellent amenities and a strong sense of community
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing (Locum Tenens Registered Nurse)
• Unit: Acute Care G200 / Short Stay Unit
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed hours
• Assignment Duration: 13-week contract with potential extension
• Bed Size: 13 beds, with planned expansion
• Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:4-5
• Orientation: Comprehensive onboarding, Epic EMR training, and precepted shifts
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2130 - $2190

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS certification (American Heart Association required)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg or acute care nursing experience
• Proficiency in general medical nursing and clinical support
• Ability to float to other general medical units as needed
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Must pass comprehensive drug screening

Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver professional nursing care to patients ages 16 through adult in Acute Care and Short Stay Units
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to provide high-quality patient care
• Document care using Epic electronic medical record (EMR) system
• Educate patients and families on self-care and discharge instructions
• Float to other general medical units as required
• Maintain professional appearance (no cartoon or character scrubs)
• Participate in unit-specific orientation and ongoing clinical training
