Forklift-Marial handler

Shift: Mond to Thurs 4pm - 2:30am

Pay Rate: $21

Location: Niles, IL

Responsible for the accurate receiving, staging, labeling, storage, and movement of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods in a food manufacturing environment. Ensures inventory accuracy, material availability for production, and compliance with safety and food quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive, verify, label, and store materials; confirm deliveries against paperwork.
• Enter receiving and inventory movements into SAP or company systems using RF scanners.
• Maintain inventory accuracy using FIFO practices and support cycle counts.
• Stage ingredients and packaging according to daily production schedules.
• Operate sit-down forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
• Work in freezer environments down to -20°F .
• Perform and document daily equipment safety inspections and report mechanical issues.
• Maintain clean, organized warehouse and freezer areas.
• Follow all GMP, food safety, and warehouse safety standards.
• Communicate material shortages, discrepancies, and scheduling issues to leadership.
• Train new associates on equipment operation, safety, and freezer procedures.
• Support cross-training and shift coverage as needed.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in food, pharmaceutical, or chemical manufacturing.
• Minimum 3 years of forklift experience (sit-down, reach, pallet jack preferred).
• Experience with SAP, RF scanners, and inventory systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
