Accounting Supervisor
Compensation: $135,000–$150,000 base + bonus incentive program

LaSalle Network is hiring an Accounting Supervisor for a leading organization in Northbrook, IL. This direct hire opportunity is ideal for an accounting leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys developing teams, and has a strong command of both corporate accounting and cost accounting. This Accounting Supervisor will play a key role in monthly close, reporting, cost analyses, and internal controls while leading a high-performing finance team. What’s the job?
Supervise and develop cost accounting staff to drive performance, accuracy, and growth
Coordinate and review journal entries, analyses, and monthly cost accounting deliverables
Oversee product costing, cost analyses, throughput, accruals, and monthly costing package
Lead Sales/Cost Ton and inventory reconciliations across terminals
Review and issue management reports, including Scorecard, LCM, inventory reporting, variances, and reserves
Maintain SOX compliance and internal controls across accounting functions
Support updates to material standards and freight analyses
Review departmental balance sheet account reconciliations
Drive special projects and process improvement initiatives
Lead quarterly and year-end audit schedules
Promote analytical skill development across the finance team
Strengthen cross-functional relationships and communication
What’s needed?
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
CPA required
5–7 years of supervisory experience
Strong corporate/general accounting background
Excellent communication, relationship-building, and leadership skills
Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems
Ability to partner with teams across the organization and manage competing priorities
