Title: Accounts Receivable Specialist

Location : Schaumburg, Illinois

Assignment Type: 3- month contract with potential for contract-to-hire

Compensation: $25- $27/hour depending on relevant experience

Job Responsibilities:

• Generate accurate and timely customer invoices based on production output, delivery schedules, and purchase orders.
• Monitor and manage the full accounts receivable cycle, including collections, cash application, and reconciliations.
• Collaborate with production, shipping, and sales teams to ensure billing reflects actual shipments and customer agreements.
• Review and verify billing data for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with customer contracts and manufacturing lead times.
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, short payments, chargebacks, and deductions.
• Apply customer payments (ACH, wire, check, and credit card) and ensure proper posting to the general ledger within ERP systems.
• Prepare and send out customer account statements and past-due notices.
• Maintain detailed records of billing adjustments, credit memos, and customer communications.
• Assist in month-end close activities, including AR aging reports and bad debt analysis.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• ERP/accounting systems (such as SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards) to manage billing and receivables functions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
