Position Status: Non-Exempt

Duration: Long Term Employment

Position Type: Full Time

Hours: Monday – Friday 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Job Summary:

Production team members are responsible for setting up and running machines and assembly cells to produce parts, utilizing standard work and technical drawings, collaborating on problem solving and improvements so that we can strengthen our production systems. A Day in the Life on our Production Team:

• Learns and follows standards to load castings and bars into machines, set up, operate and monitor production machines and equipment as well as assembly and shipping processes.
• Addresses alarms, troubleshoots problems, and ensures continuous flow to meet daily schedules and standards for production, quality, and safety.
• Installs, maintains, and monitors production tooling, equipment, and supplies to ensure optimal performance and quality.
• Assures quality in the process by gaging, measuring, and collecting and recording production data.
• Collaborates with manufacturing engineering, production, safety and other stakeholders to troubleshoot issues to solve problems to improve production processes and systems.
• Tracks and documents performance metrics identifies issues and improvement opportunities to support continuous improvement of systems and processes.
• Drives and supports continuous improvement by understanding organizational goals, engaging stakeholders, observing processes, identifying and resolving obstacles, measuring processes, documenting gaps, and applying root cause analysis.

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities):

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED);
• Two (2) plus years of experience setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting machines that cut steel threads (CNC lathes with Haas and/or Fanuc controls preferred).
• Proven experience in performing detailed root cause analysis to uncover the underlying causes of process failures, quality issues, or customer complaints.
• Experience driving a Forklift, operating and troubleshooting non-CNC machining, and grinding is a plus.
• Experience in a lean manufacturing environment.

Requirements:

• Proof of full COVID vaccination or waiver*
• Dependable and reliable to work our scheduled hours, Monday through Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm at our facility in Geneva, IL
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to work standing for 8 hours daily
• Strong English communication skills—both verbal and written
• General mechanical aptitude
• Team player
• Open-minded thinking and ability to be coached to follow our standards, systems and standard work. This includes following our safety standards and protocols.
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Salary Range: $28.00 - $35.00 Based on experience & qualifications.
