Facilities Manager

This role is focused on ensuring the ongoing maintenance and smooth operation of building systems and equipment. The Facilities / Courier will perform preventive maintenance, handle repairs, and prioritize tasks to reduce building downtime. They will work closely with leadership to address cross-departmental needs, trouble shoot and provide solutions for improvement related to building equipment and systems, whether owned or leased .
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain an active driver's license, auto insurance, and meet agency underwriting criteria for insurability .
- Ensure eligibility to be "bonded" by underwriters .
- Assist with inspections and collaborate with public agency representatives when needed, maintain organized records and keeping up to date with regulatory changes .
- Collaborate with contractors and subcontractors involved in new construction or remodeling projects for Promise Healthcare .
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment in partnership with department leadership .
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks and basic repairs .
- Coordinate with landlords or handle maintenance for building interiors and exteriors, including vehicle fleets, landscaping, and leased spaces .
- Manage daily, weekly, and monthly tasks, ensuring timely completion .
- Participate in procurement processes, maintain emergency management assets and equipment, and assist with related drills, exercises, and documentation .
- Foster a culture of safety and open communication throughout the organization .
- Support safety policies and procedures for both patients and staff, ensuring Safety Data Sheets (SDS) are current .
- Propose process improvements based on lessons learned, best practices, or changes in regulations or technology .
- Assist with emergency communication platforms and keep supervisors informed of progress on assignments .
- Other duties as assigned .
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Moderate physical exertion includes frequent walking, standing, bending, reaching, and carrying moderately heavy loads (up to 50-100 lbs.).
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions and potentially extended exposure to outdoor elements .
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate degree preferred but not required; 5-8 years of relevant construction or maintenance experience required .
- At least 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), is preferred .
- 3 years of experience in preventive maintenance work is preferred .
- Experience or working knowledge of refrigeration, fire alarm and security systems, plumbing, HVAC systems, and clinical equipment .
- Basic knowledge of OSHA regulations .
- Construction experience or general knowledge of various trades .
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, invoices, proposals, and plans .
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma required
- Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred
- Maintenance Experience preferred .
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
- Bilingual (Spanish) language preferred.

Proposed salary range: $60,000 to $70,000 per year
